State Campgrounds Open for Season (WRGB Albany)
The D.E.C-Run State Campgrounds are officially open for business and if you're thinking about camping this summer, you'd better think fast. The State Parks and Recreation Office says reservations are already up 16 percent over last year.

With sunny skies and temperatures in the mid- to high 20s being predicted for the long weekend, things are looking up for those Reginans planning to head out to a campground or the cottage.
 
Motocross arena seeks permits to operate campground (Rivertowns.net)
Better organized camping may be on the horizon around the Cedar Lake Speedway and Sandbox Arena complex. A proposal is being considered by the Town of Star Prairie Board and St. Croix County for a 50- to 70-site campground on the properties.
